OneRepublic Offers New Charity Remix, Chance to Win a VIP Tour Experience

Courtesy Coca-ColaOneRepublic has teamed up with Bono‘s (RED) charity campaign and Coca-Cola to offer a remix of their new single “I Lived” that will raise money for a good cause, and you can join in and win some great prizes.

Proceeds from downloads of the “I Lived” remix will go to the (RED) Global Fund, specifically to its latest campaign, called Share the Sound of an AIDS-Free Generation, which is working to fight mother-to-child transmission of HIV.  In connection with that, the band is also offering fans the chance to spend a day with them and live like a VIP.

If you visit Omaze.com, you can donate money for chances to win the grand prize: you and a guest will fly to join the band at the tour stop of your choice.  You’ll get a VIP backstage tour, go to the soundcheck and hang out with the guys and then watch the show from VIP seats.

“We’re proud to be part of the (RED) campaign this year and are looking forward to spending time with a winning fan” said OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder.

Depending on how much you donate, you can also receive cool merchandise, like OneRepublic t-shirts, hoodies, autographed albums, guitars and more.

Ryan, who’s friendly with Bono, tells People magazine that teaming with the U2 singer’s (RED) charity was a no-brainer, adding, “It made sense. The nature of our song ‘I Lived’ lined up with the whole theme of their campaign.”   The song itself, says Ryan, was written about his four-year-old son, Copeland.

“He knows the song is about him. He loves it. He loves this song,” says Ryan. “He’s always into whatever is the most recent song that we’ve done. So right now, he walks around singing ‘Love Runs Out’ cause that was our last single. Before then, it was ‘Counting Stars,’ and now it’ll be ‘I Lived.'”
