It's official:  "The Oprah Winfrey Show" will end in 2011.

--Yesterday, Harpo . . . Oprah's production company . . . released a statement confirming that Oprah has decided NOT to re-up her show's syndication deal when it expires in 2011.  The last episode will air on September 9th, 2011.

--"The Oprah Winfrey Show" debuted on September 8th, 1986 . . . so Oprah will be signing off the day after the show's 25th anniversary.

--There aren't many details yet . . . but Oprah will be talking about it on today's show, which will air live.  (--This is the show's last day of production for the year.)

--There's been some speculation that Oprah is actually MOVING the show to her personal cable network, OWN, which is expected to launch sometime in 2011.

--For now, there's no indication whether that's happening, or if she's planning on hosting a NEW show on the network.  All we know is that Oprah is expected to have a quote, "major presence" on OWN . . . whatever that means.
