Narragansett Brewing Company has released their next purely Rhode Island marriage; Narragansett presents Del’s Shandy.

The shandy hit liquor stores in Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts Monday, and has been flying off the shelves.

“I am so excited” said North Kingstown resident James Fede. “It’s a beer that is so Rhode Island.”

This is the second time Narragansett Brewing has teamed up with a local company. Over the winter, the company introduced their coffee milk stout that was made with Autocrat coffee syrup.

“What is great about the Del’s is that it instantly separates us from the pack,” said President of Narragansett Brewing Company Mark Hellendrung.

Hellendrung says the beer will be brewed continually throughout the summer because of the success of the coffee milk stout.

He added the company is in works with other New England places to possibly come out with different beers with local flavor.

The shandy is available in cans and on draft.
