Congratulations to this week’s Showcase Cinemas High School Team of the Week: East Greenwich High School Girls Soccer!

First East Greenwich Girls Varsity Soccer team to win a state championship!! A great group of girls and 6 exceptional seniors who give to their sport, school and community. These girls just won their first EVER women’s soccer state championship in EGHS history with their goalie coming back from an ACL injury that kept her sidelined all last year. This team has heart and is so tough! Yay girls! This team has shown amazing resilience and team spirit. This is the first ever soccer championship for the school, and it is so well deserved. They battled back from so many injuries and challenging years, only to come together as an amazing team for this win. They are an absolutely amazing group of players.
