92 PRO-FM Mornings 5 Things You Should Know About:
BEKAH
Bekah’s Go To Local Glam
While she’s not exactly a Real Housewife of Rhode Island Bekah loves her local glam spots and here’s where you can find her whether its general maintenance or getting ready for a local event.
–Botox: I held off for a while and I don’t go crazy but I do enjoy the occasional tox to make my forehead resemble an ice rink. I love Noelle at Rhody’s Ageless Beauty in Cranston.
–Eyebrows: I am an elder millennial which means my eyebrows have been THROUGH IT. When I was in high school at Cranston High School East I made a mistake that so many teen girls were making at the time- I OVERPLUCKED! Im glad I discovered threading way back when and have been doing it ever since. Right now my go-to spot is Salon Thread. I go to their Warwick location on Bald Hill Rd. -Nails: I’ve been going to Brenda Gates from Gel Optionz at Honey Combs Hair Salon since 2012. She’s a family friend and whenever I come in with a nail idea- she makes it so much better. Shes an OG when it comes to gel nails.
–Hair Blowout: We are so lucky to have not one but two DryBar locations nearby (I go to the Chapel View Cranston location.) When I need a pick me up or hair for an event like a wedding or a night out at PPAC I head to DryBar. Ill take a mimosa please.
–Spray Tan: The only people to see me, “disrobed” these days are my husband and Cassandra and her staff from Glistening Goddesses. That’s the only place I get my spray tan. It elevates my appearance without having to head out to a tropical destination. I do a level 2.5 if you’re curious.
KIM ZANDY:
1. I’ve been a foster/adoptive parent since 2014.
2. When I was applying for my first radio job after college, I had 2 different program directors tell me I should think of a different career.
3. If it were free, I would absolutely go back to college, just for history classes. Ben Franklin is my historical boyfriend.
4. My sorority pledge name is O.J. – NOT as in O.J. Simpson! It’s Odie, Jr., as in the dog from Garfield.
My dream job would be a Zookeeper, or a safari guide, or a professional book reader.
JAY BUFF:
Jay’s 5 Favorite Places to Walk His Dog
1. Beavertail Lighthouse Loop – Jamestown. Rocky terrain.
2. Blue Hills Reservation – Milton. Steep climbs, great views of Boston.
3. Neutaconkanut Hill Park – Johnston. Great walking trails year-round, and you can see our tower!
4. Sakonnet Greenway Trail – Portsmouth. Pretty flat, lots of parking.
5. Cliff Walk – Newport. An old standard, but great for a photo shoot on a nice day!
